(HO scale) LS97031 EC8/9 Hamburg Zürich, 6-tlg. mit GoPEx SBB, Ep.VI. With a journey time of 10 hours and 14 minutes, the EuroCity 8/9 from Hamburg to Zurich and back are real long-distance trains. The EC 9 starts at 6:29 a.m. from Hamburg-Altona and travels via Bremen, Münster, Düsseldorf, Mainz, Baden-Baden and Basel - finally reaching the destination of Zurich main station at 5 p.m. The EuroCity, which consists of twelve SBB EC cars, is pulled from Hamburg to Basel Bad Bf by a Deutsche Bahn AG series 101 electric locomotive, after which the journey continues with a Swiss Federal Railways Re 460 electric locomotive. A special highlight of the train is the line-up of first-class panoramic cars, which are currently decorated in the design of the Gotthard Panorama Express.
