(HO scale 3-rail AC) Diesel locomotive class BR 221 of the German Deutsche Bundesbahn DB railways in burgundy livery. The class (BR) 221 locomotives were developed on the basis of class 220, and had more powerful engines. This enabled the more widespread deployment of these locomotives in heavy-duty passenger and freight train services. The two classes are also distinguishable from one another by the minor exterior design changes and different arrangement of windows and ventilation grilles. Model is equipped with digital sound decoder for realistic sounds of this type of locomotive.
