BRAWA 15150 RhB flat wagon Xk9023 in brown
(G scale) Two axle flat wagon with load bays class Xk9023 of the Swiss Rhaetischebahn RhB in brown livery. When old freight cars are put to new use, the old superstructure is not always used. New ones are generally mounted on the existing frames, which are often still in good condition. This is what happened to the former third-class passenger car no. C. 2002, which was delivered to the railway in 1889. Following its withdrawal from routine passenger service, it was used as a painter‘s workshop until 1960 when the superstructure was replaced by a new one with sides and a sliding roof. In the course of its service, the construction car known as Sk 9023 lost its roof completely but continued to be used as a flat car. The reconstructed superstructure wasn‘t removed until 2005, when the original frame was restored. Now, it is to be exhibited at a museum as an example of the first types of car used by the RhB. All metal with fine scale detailing and interiors, length: 424mm. delivery 10/2006
