When the Rhätische Bahn replaced its old double-axle passenger cars with four-axle cars for regular passenger service, the double-axle cars continued to be used as construction and service cars. In 1944, the former C 2026 dating from 1897 became service personnel car no. Xk 9039. Even today, it still performs this function.
